Job Functions: Insurance and Risk Management Advice, Sales, Customer Service, Business Development, Marketing and Brand

Position Summary:

  • Work with the management team to implement strategic sales and marketing plans.
  • Grow the client base by establishing and maintaining relationships with existing clients and prospects, analyzing their existing coverages, and providing guidance to enhance coverages.
  • Consult and advise clients and prospects regarding insurance needs, asset protection, and risk management.
  • Source new business leads via networking, sales campaigns, referrals, events, and cold calling.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Always provide excellent customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.


  • Maintain RIBO license.
  • Ability to manage a book of business (renewals, endorsements, and advocacy with underwriters and adjusters).
  • Manage Accounts Receivables.
  • Support and execute the company vision and demonstrate core values.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of market products, wordings, and technical underwriting.
  • Service commercial lines accounts including but not limited to receiving phone calls, e-mails, faxes from clients and insurers regarding insurance, claims, or administrative problems and complying with requests.
  • As instructed by the VP of Sales, be able to assist in the collection of premiums and track and advise Account Executive(s) on necessary cancellation dates based on earned premium compared to paid premium.
  • Keep the VP of Sales fully informed of any important development on your accounts.
  • Maintain all client activity in the brokerage management system accurately and update in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate expirations to obtain renewal information.
  • Negotiate with insurers for renewal premium and coverage changes.
  • Assist Account Executive(s) and other departments in cross-selling and up-selling account rounding.
  • Have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (with advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel).
