Our Community

Local support helped us grow into the brokerage we are today. We recognized a need and desire to give back to the Greater Sudbury area by volunteering our time within the city.

Gougeon developed a Community Action Plan, which places money aside each year for local non-profit organizations. Throughout the year, the staff collects enough money to sponsor families at Christmas and actively participate in the Reading Tree program for children.

We also sponsor youth sports teams to encourage an active lifestyle for today’s youth as we believe that exercise and a healthy attitude are the best insurance for a child’s future.

At Gougeon Insurance Brokers we encourage and support our staff to break down boundaries and step beyond the local community to provide others with a different kind of “life insurance.”

In January of 2006, Gougeon staff and supporting partners raised enough money to send a staff member to Masaya, Nicaragua as part of the Bridges to Community organization. Denise Sheppard assisted in building two homes for two deserving families in the area and gained a valuable life experience that she continues to share with her coworkers. Her experience inspires us to continue making a difference in the local community and the world over.
